Upon the recommendation and endorsement of i-am associates through a variety of previous projects with Nationwide and DOMUS we undertook the design and implementation of exterior signage and internal display signage to the new concept store of Tower London, a contemporary fashion retail brand in Wood Green, North London.
Designed to be flexible both in a positional sense and also from a designer brand label perspective, we were asked to design a rail system from which branded light boxes were able to be suspended with flexibility to enable the staff to relocate, swap out designer brand labelling and connect back into a purpose built integral electrical circuit supported by a micro plug and socket system. The stainless steel rail system and the light boxes themselves were coordinated with the shops interior displays by wrapping digitally printed vinyl created to give the effect of distressed metal.
The external strategic signage requirements were intended to integrate the brand design into the façade of the entire shop front. This was delivered by utilising aluminium composite sheeting CNC routed to effectively wrap the shop-front glazing frames and pilasters and extend across the building frontage itself. Illuminated acrylic lettering was then inlaid through the aluminium composite sheeting which was laminated in the same digital print as the interior display signage created to give the effect of the same distressed metal laying adjacent to strong brand colours.
Complemented by a striking projection sign and large format digital print applied to digital marketing screens and the shop front glazing, the new Tower London brand is expected to be implemented across an increasing network of retail outlets.
